ABOUT PASTOR CHRIS

Pastor Chris Townsend is the Pastor-elect of Mount Bethel Apostolic Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, and a preacher, teacher, and ministry leader committed to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and strengthening the local church.

Rooted in the Apostolic faith and shaped by a rich spiritual heritage, Pastor Townsend ministers with clarity, conviction, compassion, and practical application. His preaching and teaching emphasize revival, prayer, discipleship, spiritual growth, holiness, leadership development, and the believer's responsibility to fulfill God's call.

Pastor Townsend began preaching in 2012 at Mount Bethel Apostolic Church, the ministry founded and pastored by his grandfather, the late Bishop James Z. Townsend. What began as a call to preach has developed into years of ministry, leadership, service, and preparation.

In August 2026, Pastor Townsend was selected to serve as Pastor-elect of Mount Bethel Apostolic Church, beginning a new chapter of leadership at the church that helped shape his faith and ministry.

Through Chris Townsend Ministries, he continues to serve churches, ministries, leaders, and communities by preaching, teaching, developing ministries, and engaging in Kingdom service.

At the heart of his ministry is a simple burden: preach Christ, strengthen the Church, and help people become everything God has called them to be.
